Position Title: Deposit eServices Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Deposit eServices Specialist -IRA/HSA Review is responsible for reviewing Individual Retirement Account (IRA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) maintenance and other processes to ensure accuracy. As a member of the Deposit and eServices team, this position is responsible for supporting the deposit services and electronic services activities of the Bank, including Deposit account, ATM/debit card, online banking and bill payment processing; non-sufficient funds and deposit exception processing; IRA/HSA administration; and providing back-up to other staff members in the department as needed. Provides the highest level of customer service, adheres to the Bank's Core Values, and Service Standards..
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Experience:

  • Supports inquiries from branches and customers.
  • Promotes the Bank's services.

The following key responsibilities may be primary or backup tasks for this position:
IRA & HSA Review
  • Reviews new IRA accounts and other IRA plan maintenance.
  • Reviews new HSA accounts and other HSA plan maintenance.
  • Reviews IRA transaction reports to ensure accurate IRS reporting.
  • Reviews HSA transaction reports to ensure accurate IRS reporting.
  • Supports the document imaging process.

ATM/Debit Card/Online Banking/Bill Payment Processing:
  • May follow-up and monitor suspected debit card fraudulent activity for customers.
  • Provides telephone support to Bank customers for Card, Mobile, Bill Payment and Online Banking.
  • Processes ATM and Mobile deposits sending to Fiserv IP.
  • Provisions tokens if needed for Digital Wallets.
  • May assist with processing and monitoring all ATM, ACH, and POS issues relative to Regulation E, including fraud monitoring, breaches and error resolutions.

Cash Management Support
  • May assist in reviewing Business online Banking setups for authorization. Provides support for the Cash Management products including, but not limited to, sweep accounts, ACH origination, Wire transfers, Zero balance accounts and Positive Pay.
  • Processes Customer ACH Origination files.
  • Processes Wire Transfer requests.

Other Responsibilities
  • Provides back-up support for other staff members in the department.
  • Research items as required.
  • Completes projects as assigned.
  • Creates and maintains management reports as required.
  • Provides IRS reporting support including Savings Bond interest remittance and 1099 corrections.
  • Supports the annual escheatment process to the State of Maine.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION:
Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential:
  • Minimum 1 year of banking experience.
  • Must have strong customer skills, especially by telephone.
  • Excellent computer skills, including a good understanding of internet banking features and functionality as well as experience in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiarity with core and internet banking services.

Education Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
