As we continue to grow, we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization, including this opportunity at NDX Albensi Laboratory in Irwin, PA for a Full-Time Dental/CAD CAM Design Supervisor.
The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. These hours will be subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Oversee all designer roles in CAD CAM Department.
- Complete appropriate forms documenting absences due to illness, vacation, tardiness, etc.
- Perform any necessary disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
- Calculate and monitor designer's daily numbers.
- Adjust/correct steps within Magic Touch for proper credit for designers.
- Add credit to Magic Touch when designs must be redone on cases.
- Monitor and log technician kickbacks and rejects.
- Review kickbacks and corrections with all designers and how to adjust design correctly, often reviewing again prior to milling.
- Review, prepare, and distribute remakes for design department that are returned from doctors.
- Import previous designs for reuse, review, or consultation with doctors.
- Answer designer's specific questions regarding individual cases.
- QC for in-house and offsite designers, as well as cases that designers have issues with or are currently training on (including but not limited to; copings, implants, multi-unit cases, all cases 4 or more units).
- Review bites internally within design department as well as assist with complicated bites in IOS department.
- Train new designers.
- Make design department calls to dentist offices, for all designers.
- Consult with doctors for future or current cases.
- Troubleshoot cases that enter department or will eventually be enter department (Cases coming from Scanning, IOS, Printing, Milling, Contouring and QC)
- Proper model work to be scanned for best design outcome
- Bites being properly mounted, scanned, aligned
- Duralays being properly fabricated to include necessary information for design
- Determine need for stage 2 to be scanned on abutments that do not properly fit
- IOS proper bite set up/ alignment
- IOS troubleshoot for proper insertion direction and die interface production
- Printing/Milling- pulling designs for closed/ locked or missing files
- Review cases with contouring/ QC that are incorrect, questionable or need redesigned
- Responsible for updating/ distributing tags for organizational purposes with CAD/CAM departments as well as interdepartmentally in rest of lab.
- Responsible for creating and updating "doctors on close watch" list (in house list,) reviewing it monthly and tracking the doctors cases daily.
- Responsible for making design technician allocated task list as well as individual tags on designers shelves for easy allocation.
- Responsible for creating quick reference sheets for designers (Die spacer chart, Dr. preference sheet, Tight bite procedure sheet)
- Responsible for creating design guide for outsourcing to India and royal. As well as creating new designer binders; which include, PTC references for crown design, anatomy, and vocabulary.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.

- Advanced dental knowledge of anterior anatomy pertaining to esthetics and function.

- Must portray a strong spatial ability in hand-eye coordination, perception skills, and a superior attention to detail.
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Required: College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Required: 5+ years design experience preferable in a dental lab.
- Minimum 2 years dental technician experience, exhibiting competency in area of expertise in order to guide and train others.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, obtained through experience or recognized through observation.
