Job Title: Dental Practice Manager

Location: Wasilla, AK

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $70,000 to $80,000 base salary

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7 AM - 6 PM (start and end times will vary within those hours)
  • Some marketing events for health fairs some Saturdays needed about 7 events per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Dental Practice. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and leadership skills. The Dental Practice Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the practice, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the team in delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and lead the dental support staff, including dental assistants, receptionists, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

2. Administrative Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including appointment scheduling, patient flow, and treatment coordination.
  • Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle financial responsibilities such as billing, insurance claims, and budget management.

3. Patient Relations:

  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
  • Coordinate patient scheduling and optimize appointment efficiency.
  • Interact with patients and staff during procedures as needed.

4. Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay informed about industry regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.

5. Vendor and Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers and manage inventory to ensure the availability of necessary dental supplies and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

6. Marketing Support:

  • Develop and oversee all aspects of internal marketing
  • Organize community events
  • Develop and carry out in-person marketing campaigns as needed
  • Work with local schools and community groups for sponsorships
  • Manage Revenue Well (internal marketing and patient communications software)
  • Work with community partners to build relationships

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, clinical setting, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a Dental Practice or any healthcare field.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and office management software is a PLUS!
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance.
