Title: Dental Lab Technician - Wirebender
Pay: $18.00 hourly
Department: Fixed
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, M-F
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately bend and shape wires to the prescribed specifications for specified dental appliances.
- Attach and integrate wires with other appliance components, ensuring precision, fit, and compliance with dental professionals' requirements.
- Conduct thorough quality control checks on appliances to verify the accuracy of wire integration and overall product quality.
- Choose appropriate materials and wires for each dental appliance based on specific dental cases and patient requirements.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment used in wire bending and appliance fabrication to ensure accurate and efficient operation. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain comprehensive records of each appliance case, including materials used, wire specifications, and production details.
- Completes assigned processes according to Great Lakes standards and time constraints.
- Remains current and adheres to all safety and occupational health policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements to Hire:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No previous education or experience required; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and work in a team.
- Basic knowledge of dental and orthodontic anatomy preferred.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to review data, draw conclusions and make suggestions based on data.
