Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 60+ labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Stern Dental Lab in Houston, TX for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician III (Denture Setup).

The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Check models for defect that need correcting before fabrication begins
  • Check articulation of models for proper occlusal relationship
  • Post dam upper models
  • Set pin on articulator to establish vertical relationship
  • Double check teeth to be used for correct mold and shade
  • Place wax on baseplate and set teeth on the arch in proper alignment to achieve proper function and good aesthetics. If setting for wax try-in, soak model in water before set-up. Check occlusion to be sure correct bite relationship has been achieved
  • All other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Removable knowledge in all phases of dental technology
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Detail oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to sustain production
  • Preferred CDT

Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

  • Small machinery
  • Hand-pieces
  • Chemicals

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

Education

  • High School or Equivalent or better
