We’re searching for a personable Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric specialty practice. You’ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough, dental cleanings, and help dentists with examinations and procedures. Applicants should be knowledgeable about dentistry best practices, possess incredible interpersonal skills, and love working with children. We would love to hear from you.
Compensation:$50 - $60 hourly
Responsibilities:- Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified
- Create dental impressions of patients’ teeth so veneers, mouthguards, etc. can be made correctly
- Inform patients of all ages about how to care for their teeth by brushing and flossing on a regular basis
- Advise patients on how to properly care for their teeth after a procedure or operation
- Perform preliminary dental examinations to get an overview of the patient’s oral health history for the dentist
- Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
- At least 1-2 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Must have at least an associate’s degree in dental hygiene; bachelor’s degree preferred
- In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
