The base salary range for a Dental Business Solutions Architect is $76,000 to $112,000. Actual salaries will vary by geographic location and are based on factors such as candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, competencies, and company tenure & equity. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for a annual incentive plan based on company and individual performance.

Dental Business Solutions Architect Overview:

This position is responsible for identifying, recommending and implementing technology and data-related Business Solutions that support the Dental Operations Performance Strategy. Works in tandem with the Dental Operations leadership team to drive performance innovation and strategies. Contributes toward establishing Dental Operations as a center of excellence through improved efficiency and performance.

Essential Duties:

  • Acts as liaison for Dental Operations to various departments to help identify, recommend and implement technology and data-related Business Solutions that will improve efficiency and enhance performance
  • Cascades important information to management and staff as needed including key initiatives, strategies, updates on critical deliverables and projects
  • Consistently drives and identifies all opportunities for automation and adoption of systems and works with IT and other stakeholders to implement them. May participate in the evaluation and integration of 3rd party applications/technologies.
  • Champions a structured approach to business application solutions
  • Manages activities that take place during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation as well as remediation
  • Routinely reviews business context for solutions to operational challenges as well as defining the risks, vision and requirements for the solution. Recommends potential options and advising the most optimal solution and communicating that to IT and other internal stakeholders.
  • Assists in the establishment of IT / Business architecture protocol and the adoption of an architecture methodology and standards to support Dental Operations Performance Strategy
  • Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures
  • Designs and develops reports, dashboards, cubes, and warehouse
  • Partners with various stakeholders to conduct quality risk analysis to ensure data integrity for Dental Operations
  • Stays abreast of the latest software and security measures associated with partners and vendors including any changes and data issues that may impact Dental Operations
  • Uses data on a routine basis to provide tracking, trending and analysis. Populates scorecard and provides an analytical overview with proposed resolutions in a timely manner.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of organizational system integration with the ability to interpret technical requirements and produce requirements and coding solutions
  • Working knowledge of insurance industry and/or business-related operations and processes
  • Solid understanding of information technology topics
  • Knowledge of information gathering, planning, and organizing methods and principles
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and Project as well as demonstrated understanding of database operating platforms
  • High attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level organizational skills that maximize effectiveness using time management, deliverable adherence and retention of knowledge and documentation
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into upstream and downstream business impacts
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and maintain attention to detail within time constraints
  • Ability to synthesize data from divergent sources and create a final product with a consistent voice, look, and feel
  • Ability to create and maintain relationships throughout the organization that establish, trust, sharing and partnerships
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience can substitute
  • 7 years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and driving and implementing technology and Business Solutions

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of conceptual technical infrastructures
  • Experience with power BI, Data warehouse, workflow tools and healthcare solutions
  • Healthcare and/or Dental Industry Experience
