As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Dental Business Assistant to join our dynamic team. § Determine eligibility for each type of insurance
§ Be able to file claims for each type of insurance
§ Be able to explain payment options to a patient
§ Be able to process a credit card payment and make a deposit
§ Follow written financial procedures
§ Be able to explain care credit to a patient and process an application
§ Enter patients through the family file
§ Complete insurance information in the family file
§ Charge out procedures and enter payment
§ Creating and sending insurance
§ Scheduling appointments
§ Balance and complete all paperwork for an end of day
§ End of day score board
§ Prepare mom for following day
§ Monitor no shows, cancellations, and pending treatment
§ Maintain a full schedule by filling openings and broken appointments utilizingthe tools within the office software
§ Follow office procedures for patient referrals and transfers to other doctor’soffices
§ Ensure the practice meets its production goals through efficient scheduling
§ Contact unscheduled patients each month
§ Follow a telephone script consistently when contacting patients
§ Prepare treatment plan estimates and present to patients gaining acceptance
§ Reach agreement and document financial arrangements with each patientbefore scheduling treatment
§ Report diagnosed and accepted treatment for all treatment plans
§ Obtain approval for credit and other adjustments to patients’ accounts, postthem, and maintain accurate and complete written documentation
§ Complete all end of month procedures the first working day of each newmonth
§ Answer insurance company inquiries and follow up on rejected claims
§ Complete, document, and electronically file all insurance claims daily
§ Track all insurance claims to ensure the full payment is received within sixweeks of billing
§ Aging report§ Insurance Aging report§ Statements
§ Continuing Care
§ Unscheduled Treatment Report
§ Ability to understand Ledger
§ Complete all month-end procedures
§ Present treatment plans with patient acceptance
§ Successfully fill a schedule
§ Invite patients to join our practice
§ Promote your office within the community
§ Send new patients and referral sources thank you notes and/or gifts
§ Keep broken appointments to less than 5%
§ Dismiss patients with doctor’s approval and follow office protocol
§ Maintain accounts receivable control and aging, monitoring accountsreceivable ratio, and provide reports to the doctor and team each week
§ Keep abreast of financial options
§ Create and send monthly statements by the 25th of each month
§ Maintain appropriate levels of office and computer supplies
§ Process patient refunds promptly
§ Monitor and maintain appropriate petty cash balances
§ Contact all past due accounts by telephone the day they are delinquent
§ Basic understanding of DiSC behavior styles
