SalaryOverview: We are seeking a skilled Dental Specialist to join our team. As a Dental Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient dental coding and billing processes. Your expertise in medical coding, terminology, and billing systems will contribute to the overall success of our dental office. Duties: - Review and analyze dental records to assign appropriate codes for procedures and services - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes - Collaborate with dental providers to clarify documentation and obtain necessary information for accurate coding - Conduct regular audits to identify any coding errors or discrepancies - Assist with medical collection efforts, including working with insurance companies to resolve claim denials or discrepancies - Stay updated on industry changes and trends related to dental coding and billing practices - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines - Provide training and support to dental office staff on coding-related matters Skills: - Proficiency in dental coding, including knowledge of CDT codes - Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to dentistry - Familiarity with Dental Billing systems and software - Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and requirements - Experience with medical collection practices and strategies - Attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment Join our team as a Dental Specialist and contribute to the success of our dental office.
