The Dental Assistant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical support team and ensuring the provision of high-quality patient-centered care. The incumbent will provide on-boarding, ongoing training, and education to team members, supervise their day-to-day activities, act as a mentor and coach, and assist in their development. The Dental Assistant Supervisor will work collaboratively with the Dental Manager, Site Directors, Dentist, Hygienists, and Phone/Welcome Team to facilitate efficient processes necessary to support high-quality and timely patient care. This position should maintain a professional demeanor at all times, including adhering to ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality, and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Oregon Radiology certificate or EFDA credentials.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Dental Assistant, with experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience with dental practice management software and electronic health records (EHR)
- Written and oral communication skills for providing instruction, guidance, and feedback to other team members, as well as communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
- Experience training and supervising clinical support team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of Dental Assistant experience at One Community Health.
- Associate's degree in dental assisting or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
