Dental Administrator/Receptionist

The Dental Administrator/Receptionist will join a moderate-sized, busy, and established Lake Charles, Louisiana dental practice.

Duties include:

• Initiating and receiving outbound and inbound calls
• Greeting and assisting patients and visitors
• Verifying insurance coverage and processing a variety of related transactions (claims, billing, and patient referrals)
• Scheduling patient appointments and consultations

The Dental Administrator/Receptionist will also assist in a variety of occasional tasks that contribute to the overall success of the practice.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be available for full-time employment
• Must present a proven record of reliability, attendance, and punctuality.
• Must be friendly, and cheerful, and enjoy providing care to patients.
• Able to interact pleasantly and enthusiastically with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with attention to detail, even during periods of peak activity.

Education and Experience:

• A high school diploma required
• Prefer 3 – 5 years of experience working in a dental/medical facility
• Knowledge of Dentrix
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
