Serving as a liaison between NCI and insurance companies, the Denial Auditor-NCI assists in resolving denials and write-offs and will work with NCI staff/physicians to correct errors that appear frequently as well as NCI providers and DMU Collector(s) to obtain necessary information for more specific appeals on denied claims. This role will work with the NCI Financial Counseling team to obtain Replacement Drugs and/or Free Drugs for denied claims that cannot be overturned. Quality and process improvement efforts will be executed through the completion of denial audits provided on a monthly basis as well as examining and reporting out on specific denial trends for each NCI department. Material including write off data will be developed and communicated to NCI management using spreadsheets or Epic reports as appropriate. All work will be documented appropriately in Epic in accordance with NCI processes.

- 8:00 am - 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Qualifications
Required:
- Three years insurance authorization or medical insurance verification
Desired:
- Three years claim denials or collections
