We are looking to hire a skilled Demolition Team to safely perform tear out of existing hardscape materials. The Demolition Team’s responsibilities include removal of existing driveways, walkways, patios, pool deck and/or turf, loading and removal of demolished materials, compacting/ refilling excavated areas. You should also establish exclusion zones around job sites to ensure the safety of bystanders and passers-by.
To be successful as a member of the Demolition Team, you should be able to safely operate hand and power tools as well as heavy machinery. The Demolition Team ultimately, should be able to effectively communicate with and perform all duties in accordance with demolition safety regulations.
Demolition Team Member Responsibilities:
Using hand or power tools, and heavy machinery, to remove existing areas.
Directing cars away from demolition job sites.
Signaling heavy equipment operators to ensure that heavy machinery and equipment are correctly positioned.
Performing maintenance on all tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure that they are in good working order.
Assessing areas in accordance with location finder to determine underground utilities and irrigation piping, prior to beginning the project.
Removing debris, rubble, and materials from job sites.
Compacting and leveling demolished areas in preparation for installation
Demolition Team Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Proven demolition or construction experience.
The ability to safely use hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and explosives.
The ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Good physical stamina.
Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish.
