Senior Helpers - South OC is seeking a highly experienced and compassionate caregiver with expertise in assisting individuals with dementia. This caregiver will be responsible for providing exceptional care to seniors in the comfort of their own homes. As a Dementia experienced Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life of our clients and providing support to their families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Monitor and document changes in clients' health or behavior
- Create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for clients
- Engage clients in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental stimulation and quality of life
- Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands as needed
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care and progress
Requirements:
- Ideally 1-2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably with seniors and those with dementia
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug test
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay rate ranging from $17-20 per hour, depending on experience. Consistent hours are highly likely!
