Demand Planning Analyst
We are seeking an analytical thinker that has a curiosity to learn about forecasting/Demand Planning. We are open to analysts with a wide array of backgrounds to help our business track, validate, and analyze our Demand Planning process. Your analytical chops and ability to synthesize data (and make recommendations from that data) would be a great asset to the team and our ever-growing company!
What You'll Do:
• Support the forecast collaboration process with Sales teams to review lower-level forecast alignment
• Create and monitor KPIs for account level SKU inconsistencies by utilizing customer prior shipments, POS data, knowledge of business unit trends to facilitate action across the team
• Monitor and support strategic customer account performance to ensure proper visibility and escalation
• Managing reporting of strategic projects to ensure visibility on deliverables
• Problem solving the highest causes of error by researching error, determining root cause, and driving for improvement
• Supporting growth and innovation as a thought leader on developing, monitoring, and changing of the demand plan
Other Projects:
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in reporting and exception management, makes constructive suggestions for change and implementing pilots
• Test and pilot local adoption of Machine Learning implementation
• Test and validate appropriate Demand Planning KPIs to leverage
• Create and document best practices and routines
What You'll Have:
• You have a Bachelor's degree
• You have 1-3 years of experience in highly analytical roles (preference for supply chain related roles, but would be open to a variety of relatable analytical experiences)
• You are an individual that is strong math, has excellent analytical skills, and is comfortable working with large data sets
• You are good at adapting to different systems and are particularly advanced in Excel (pivots, lookups, formulas); data modeling skills would be a plus
• You preferably have worked in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry
• You have preferably used systems like: JDA/Blue Yonder, Manugistics, PowerBI, or syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen)
• Seeking an independent thinker/autonomous worker; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Location: Shelton, CT (hybrid - 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home)
