About the role:

As the Demand Generation Manager at Parallax, you will own a broad set of marketing activities designed to engage with our core personas within our ICP for MQL and SQL generation. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, you will work together closely on managing and building out new demand gen programs. The Demand Generation leader will manage one direct report, to start, with the ability to expand the team as we grow the marketing team. This role is ideal for someone who is performance driven, passionate about digital marketing and seasoned with paid media, web, email marketing, events, content marketing, and performance analysis.

 

You will own:

 

Paid media:

  • Manage and drive engagement/MQLs/SQLs through paid media including Google PPC, Google Remarketing, LinkedIn Paid Ads, YouTube advertising, review sites + more
  • Actively analyze effectiveness of paid channels and optimize acquisition cost for channels best suited to engage with our ICP
  • Manage agency partners to produce results in key paid media channels
  • Work closely with the Brand & Design Director to generate compelling creative ads with a variety of CTAs to A/B test
 

Community & events:

  • Manage relationships with existing community groups and sponsorship of events, finding speaking opportunities, and driving our thought leadership into those groups
  • Create a strategy for engaging in additional communities/events tailored to our ICP - then go execute our presence at said events!
  • Organize speaking opportunities and effectiveness of getting “butts in seats” to our sessions
  • Leverage communities as a content syndication network
  • Show up cooler than the other companies sponsoring - reflect our brand in unique ways that differentiates our presence from the same old boring presence others rely on 
 

Digital/web:

  • Manage website updates/creation including website and landing pages, SEO tags, content promotions,  conversion optimization + more
  • Own relationship with an external web developer to manage bigger changes to the website
  • Monitor web metrics, analyze and present recommendations to boost traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics 
 

Nurture & other database comms:

  • Optimize prospect nurture programs within Hubspot to drive ongoing engagement and MQL > SQL conversion
  • Create and deploy customer and prospect communications based on thought leadership content, event follow ups, etc. 
  • Work closely with the BDR Manager + Revenue Operations Manager to ensure nurture and engagement programs work alongside BDR lead follow up
 

Other stuff:

  • Own and manage the demand gen marketing budget to hit marketing/company goals
  • Partner with the Marketing Content Manager to brainstorm GTM content needed to drive MQLs and SQLs and nurture throughout the marketing and sales funnels. 
  • Ability to leverage content to drive engagement throughout the marketing and sales funnels
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive actionable insights and decision making
 

Your experience:

  • Required: 5-6 years of Demand Generation experience at a growing technology company with a proven track record of strategizing and executing programs that drive company growth
  • Pragmatic understanding of what influences buying decisions in a B2B sales environment
  • Strong understanding of “dark” channel engagement, inbound and outbound/ABM programs
  • Must be a strong partner to the broader marketing and sales teams - partnering with each group to produce MQL/SQLs within our ICP
  • Strong ownership of hitting marketing goals 
  • Can do attitude and willing to pivot quickly
  • Strong ability to understand key personas within a B2B sales process and run demand gen plays that speak to their unique needs/pains
  • Preferred: People management experience
