Responsibilities: Distributes BSMI products in a prompt and safe manner via company vehicle to our customers, vendors and or branches. Operates and represents our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and both internal/external customer satisfaction while adhering to all safety requirements of their job.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Reports to Warehouse Manager upon arrival and before leaving for any last-minute instructions.
2. Delivers a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
3. Assures product is shipped and delivered on time without error to a secured area as instructed by their supervisor or manager.
4. Organize and manage time, follows routes and time schedules.
5. Ability to operate a forklift.
6. Loads and unload, in a safe and timely manner during required business hours while management is on site unless otherwise approved.
7. Asks for feedback on provided services and resolves any issues/ complaints.
8. Completes all required travel and work logs and reports.
9. Follows DOT regulations and ALL safety standards in their job.
10. Precisely finish all paper work connected with conveyance of merchandise.
11. Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle
12. Carry out daily inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
13. Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report to the Warehouse Manager.
14. Report any instance of mishap, accident, or injury to their supervisor or manager immediately/same day.
15. Perform periodic maintenance on vehicle, such as changing batteries and motor oil at appropriate time, as well as refueling the truck.
16. Keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance, gas receipts, credit card receipts which must be turned in weekly.
17. Turn in Company truck keys daily at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
1. Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver.
2. Required to possess a Valid CA driver’s license. Class C.
3. Good driving record with no traffic violations.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education.
This is a Hybrid Position - Delivery Driver and Warehouse Order Selector.
Essential Job Functions
1. Communicate frequently with the Warehouse Manager.
2. Locate and select specific items within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders using RF Scan gun to ensure it is a valid order and to avoid double pulling.
· Go to the specific location listed on the pick ticket for the item being picked.
· Pull the correct quantity, type, size and length stated on the pick ticket.
· Follow notes on the pick ticket (use specific heat numbers, specific quantity being shipped different from quantity sold, Flag and tag, bundle in specific quantities)
· Pay attention to special work orders/our part numbers to Simpson’s part numbers. (special will be stapled to the front of the pick ticket)
· Use bag labels for Simpson and local Earthbound orders.
· Use color code dots to separate orders for Simpson Stockton.
· When pulling rod, wrap all bundles during winter months (to avoid product becoming damaged due to rain) and always wrap LTL Truck shipments.
· When pulling boxed product, if pick ticket calls for a bulk box and you do not find any, check if there is stock in small packages/B and vice versa /B to bulk.
· Fill orders as completely as possible to avoid multiple shipments to the same customer locations.
· Pack order and print Packing slip. Attach packing slip to material.
· Ensure all materials are able to be checked in the QC Area. (can be easily counted and identified) Move material to QC area when completed.
3. Maintain Cleanliness, keep work areas free of debris. Sweep assigned aisle weekly.
4. Maintain safety. Use proper lifting techniques. Wear safety toe shoes.
Reports to the Warehouse Manager in Ontario, California.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
