The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, adhering to the rules and guidelines set by the school. The primary responsibilities of this position are performing deliveries to off-site school nutrition program locations and to maintain supplies in the Marietta City Schools warehouse. Candidate will also be expected to help out within school location cafeteria as needed. Candidates are expected to always represent the school and program positively and professionally.
Candidates must wear black pants, a white shirt, and non-skid, slip-resistant shoes, and may not have artificial nails or polish. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a Marietta Background Check ($50.00) which takes 5-7 business days to process.
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- One year year experience in warehousing operation, preferably institutional foods
- Serve Safe Certified preferred
Duties expected of this position are:
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
- Transfer food products from one school location to another as needed
- Preventive maintenance checks and services on trucks and other equipment on a weekly basis
- Review freezer and cooler temperatures
- Receive and deliver small equipment to schools
- Conduct physical inventory monthly
- Implement and practice established safety standards, HACCP
- Ability to safely use a pallet jack and walking fork lifts in a confined space
- Receiving, unpacking, dating, storing, and rotating supplies in a freezer, cooler, and stock room
- Ability to use a two-wheeled hand truck to move food and supplies
- Representing the school and program positively and professionally in all activities
- Ensuring compliance with established food safety practices regarding proper dress and hygiene, as outlined in the personnel handbook and food safety Standard Operating Procedures
- Attending job-related classes, workshops, in-service, and staff meetings as directed
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, and lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Compensation
- This position pays $16.00 per hour
- Job Type: 20-35 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, depending on location
