Position Description
Overall Responsibilities:
The Truck Driver loads and transports material from the fabrication plant to various customers/locations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Safely operate company vehicle / truck to transport products between plants and remote/depot locations on time and according to delivery and facility processing schedules
- Confirm route schedule and details with site Production Managers
- Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle / truck
- Operate a forklift in a skilled and safe manner
- Assist in inventory management including quarterly physical inventory counts
- Complete 5S checklist
- Follow trucking / loading SOP
- Verify wheels are chocked prior to entering trailer
- Observe all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Other duties as assigned/support production on occasion

Qualifications:
- Available to work 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days per week
- Ability to work individually or with team members as assigned

Physical Requirements
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and the like, using feet and legs and / or hands and arms. Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slipper, or erratically moving surfaces. Bend body downward and forward by bending at the waist. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Push, pull, lift, and grasp, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently. Must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat on occasion.
