RATE OF PAY: $18.00 Per Hour, Starting Rate
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Deliver product efficiently and accurately to all assigned accounts, collect payment, prepare account for product resale, and pursue opportunities to further the sale of all Capital Distributing products. Responsible for safe truck operation and the return of all money collected, unsold inventory, empties, and pallets. This position is considered a safety sensitive position as defined by the Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention and Testing Program as allowed under the State of Oklahoma House Bill 2612 (aka “The Unity Bill”).
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES (this is not all-inclusive):
- Responsible for daily truck inspection, truck maintenance, safe truck operation and driving procedures.
- Properly execute check-in and check-out procedures and sign load sheet acknowledging accuracy.
- Perform accurate and timely product delivery to all scheduled accounts each day.
- Perform accurate and timely product delivery to all ‘add on/ hot shot’ accounts assigned by the Delivery Management team.
- Properly rotate all products in assigned accounts.
- Collect payment for all products at time of delivery and indicate method of payment on each invoice. Obtain retailers signature on each invoice.
- Reconcile product deliveries and monies accurately each day.
- Complete deliveries as prescribed by invoices and note changes on each invoice.
- Sort all out-of-date, close dated, and breakage product being returned to warehouse.
- Accurately price all products at time of delivery as required by retailer policy.
- Communicate all opportunities or problems to supervisor and appropriate sales personnel daily.
- Completely fill and face all cooler windows, cooler storage and displays in assigned accounts.
- Complete all POS placements and build all displays as directed each day.
- Complete the special attention items communicated to you by the sales representative.
- Return to the warehouse all empty pallets from the current and past deliveries of each order.
- Maintain good professional relationships with all customers, customer employees, co-employees, and management.
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate and cooperate with all departments of the company to ensure the smooth operation of the company as a whole.
- Maintain a positive relationship with all customers, co-employees, and management.
- Maintain appropriate uniform and personal appearance.
- Know, understand, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Promote company goodwill in all areas, assist others and perform tasks as appropriate and/or necessary to help maintain the positive image of Capital Distributing in the market.
- Maintain a current and appropriate driver’s license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Product delivery experience preferred.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to drive, sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry 10 to 75 lbs; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to push and pull 50 to 150 lbs.
- Must be able to twist and reach overhead.
- Must be able to balance, crawl and/or climb a ladder.
