Summary of position:
- Driver/Delivery personnel representing JM Test Systems to outside customers
- Deliver and pickup of equipment, paperwork and raw materials across local areas to a JM Test Systems Facility as directed by Logistics Coordinator and Management personnel
- Maintain safety standards and expectations within scope of position
- Understand priority and fragility of customer equipment and handling of such
- Communicate customer needs regarding equipment pick up/ delivery/ turnaround as requested by the customer
- Customer Service and support relating to customer needs
- Maintain neat and clean appearance acceptable as representative of JM Test Systems
- Report required upcoming vehicle maintenance needs to logistics
- Display understanding and impart urgency within scope of this position
- Meet daily deadlines and communicate any exceptions to dispatch coordinator
- Daily verbal check-in with coordinator before end of every day
- Perform basic vehicle care, maintenance and coordination of necessary repairs/services
- Obtain customer signatures, verify and organize necessary documents to send back to corporate on a daily basis
- Follow best practices for safety both on the road, loading/unloading materials, and while at customer facility sites
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Driver trade schooling is highly desirable.
Qualifications:
- Typically at least one year of industry-related experience in driving, warehousing and fleet operations is desirable for this position.
- Proficiency in utilizing current communication systems, and basic office machines is necessary.
- Valid driver's license is required; class D or CDL is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of sitting while driving
- Unobstructed vision or
- 10 - 12 hrs /day typical but not minimum
- Bending and Lifting up to and possibly exceeding 50lbs, dolly available as needed
- Hauling/moving equipment by hand
- Long distance routes
- Possible overnight stays
- Early hours
- On call as needed (very minimal callout)
- Keeping up with paperwork
- Following procedures
- Moving in and about refineries/plants/customer facilities
