Salary: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour Depending on experience
Family owned "Wine Importer / Distributor" located in the Richmond area is seeking a "Delivery Driver" for immediate hire. This is a Full Time position with full benefits and standard hours working Monday- Friday.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
- Loading, unloading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients.
- Accepting check payments and obtaining client or customer signatures.
- Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Preparing documents relating to deliveries.
- Operating equipment such as trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Communicating and coordinating with Warehouse Supervisor, office staff and other team members to make deliveries.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Following best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading. a.
Delivery Driver Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record (MVR will be required).
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Manual dexterity, visual acuity, reaching, bending, and lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a truck driver.
- Experience in the Wine Industry a plus!
- Must be over 21 years of age
