Summary: Delivers all customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries and relaying information back to Headwater for any issues regarding order accuracy and product quality issues encountered during deliveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
Load & Routing Confirmation: Confirm all staged orders for completeness and accuracy for each delivery route.
Quality Assurance: Check all staged orders and packaging materials to ensure quality is appropriate for delivery to customers and notify Fulfillment Manager of any issues.
Truck Loading: Load Truck in reverse order of deliveries to ensure fastest and easiest deliveries along the route.
Delivery: Deliver complete orders to each Customer, noting opportunities to improve delivery efficiencies (miles, time and work effort) and customer receiving experience.
Record Customer Confirmations and Modifications: For each delivery, have Customer confirm receipt of Order items accepted with a signature on the relevant Bill of Lading or Invoice, noting any modification(s) on Order/Invoice, staple Order with Bill of Lading and Invoice and return paperwork to Bookkeeping.
Refuel Truck: At the end of each delivery day, refuel the truck at the pre-arranged fuel station(s) using the appropriate gas card.
Clean-out Truck: After delivery and/or pick-up route is complete, return truck to Headwater facility, clean out any remaining/returning products with appropriate documentation to Materials Manager and/or Bookkeeping, clean out any trash and debris, put away any tools (e.g., pallet jack) so truck is ready for loading on next day or route.
Report Truck Maintenance/Performance Issues: Report any truck performance, maintenance or repair issues to Logistics Manager.
Accident or Road Safety/Law Enforcement Reporting: Immediately report any vehicle accident or Road Safety/Law Enforcement incident to Logistics Manager.
Feedback: Regularly provide feedback to the Sales and Operations Team members regarding customer feedback and insights to inform and improve future Sales, Fulfillment and Delivery efforts and results.
Pick-up Purchase Orders: For Purchase Order pick-ups, perform all of the equivalent duties for a Vendor Pick-up, based on the Customer Delivery Duties indicated above, to ensure timely, accurate and efficient pick-ups and routing of inbound material into the Headwater facility.
Other Duties: Other duties, including pick/pack/stage, re-packing, re-stocking, put-away, etc., may be assigned on a daily basis to support Operations and Sales Team efforts.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeks ways to improve fulfillment operations efficiencies and effectiveness, cross-department coordination, and business-level reporting.
Documentation: Maintain Delivery Notes/Log with location/account insights and tips (e.g., contact person, phone number, location-specific instructions, etc.) for future Route Planning and improvements.

- Valid Driver’s License in good standing; Commercial Driver License not required, but a plus (Non CDL Commercial Driver License will be required before starting)

- Able to lift packages up to 50 pounds
- Prior delivery experience is a plus
- Communication Skills - Ability to read and interpret Order and Shipping documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to individual Team Members and Customers.
- Computer Skills-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Order Management and Product/Inventory Management systems and Route Planning software (e.g. Road Warrior).
