Job Overview
The Delivery Driver position is responsible for the transportation and delivery of cannabis goods while ensuring each Safeport customer receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly demeanor during deliveries. Required to be able to critically think and problem solve out in the field while on deliveries. Capable of using phone navigation and having a grasp on different routes to use throughout Ventura County. Delivery Drivers must have a valid CA driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check. Delivery drivers will be interacting with customers, collecting / inspecting their ID, relaying relevant company policies, and executing cash transactions. Delivery Drivers at Safeport are expected to provide customer service in accordance with our established standards.
There is a probation period for this position.
- Develop and maintain rapport with our customers, vendors, service providers and staff.
- Ensure customers' concerns and/or questions are solved and answered promptly and efficiently and communicate member requests and/or problems to management when needed.
- Ensure strict controls to protect organization assets at the direction of management.
- Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.
- Assist in processing and packaging all online orders.
- Frequently maintain dispensary’s / delivery fleet’s cleanliness.
- Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match.
- Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction in the field.

- You must be comfortable handling cash and product.
- You must be comfortable driving for extended periods of time and at night.
Qualifications
- Strong cash handling skills.
- Comfortable with problem solving and communicating with others.
- High energy / high level of integrity.
- Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required.
- Must be 25 years old and pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Required to have a clean driving record and be approved by our insurance.
