Deliverer Meals on Wheels

This is Part-time work, no nights/weekends/ or holidays.

We are looking for a driver at this time for our Dover site.

Working at Strafford Nutrition & Meals on Wheels (SNMOW) is a rewarding way to help support your community by helping elders and low-income adults with disabilities live independently, while contributing to the community and feeling good about what you've accomplished at the end of the day.

Dependable people needed to deliver meals to home bound elders, while providing a daily contact to some otherwise isolated individuals. In addition drivers are responsible for reporting any information that presents a question or concern for a client’s well being to their immediate supervisor.

A Valid Driver’s License and good driving history required. Access to a reliable automobile and current Insurance Certificate required. Knowledge of the Strafford area very helpful, but not required.

We train on the job, areas of route is located in Dover area.

• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to work well with older and/or disabled adults
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

. Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs. Discretion in dealing with confidential information.

• Must enjoy working with seniors and have a friendly, personable manner.
• Must be caring, dependable and organized.
• Ability to keep accurate records

*This is a part-time position ideal for anyone with a few hours to spare around a lunch program. You will work approximately 3 hours per day Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday roughly between 9:45 am to 1:15 pm. No nights, holidays, or weekends.
