About us.
We are a unique establishment in Smith Hill in Providence, RI, seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time staff members. This position is great for someone who wants to learn about the food industry. You will gain experience working at our deli, our nightspot Speakeasy, and our catering department preparing foods for area establishments. We will welcome those who have experience however we also welcome those who do not have experience but have the passion to work in the food industry. There are numerous opportunities for extra hours throughout our deli, Speakeasy, and catering operations. These positions offer 40 full-time and 10 -20 hours of work part-time per week. Responsibilities:
- Prepare sandwiches according to customer orders, ensuring high-quality ingredients and careful craftsmanship.
- Handle cashier duties, including taking customer orders, processing payments, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, restocking shelves, and rotating products as necessary.
- Provide support during catering events, both on and off the property, as required.
- Seamlessly transition between roles, working as a sandwich maker during the day and potentially serving in our speakeasy at night when needed.
Requirements:
- Energetic and enthusiastic characteristics, with a strong desire to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
- Two positions available. One is full-time and one is part-time.
- Excellent multitasking skills to handle both deli and cashier responsibilities effectively.
- Strong communication and customer service skills to ensure a pleasant experience for our customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation (either live within 1 mile or own a vehicle)
Benefits:
- Competitive starting pay of $14 per hour with an average of at least $2 per hour in tips minimum on top of that. $1 per hour increase after 30 days.

Days of the week: There are two positions:
Tuesday - Saturday 9 am-4 pm (40 hours)
Friday & Saturday nights 8 pm-1 am (15-20 hours)
Compensation: The starting salary for both positions starts at $14 per hour plus tips (guaranteed @ $2 per hour minimum). Additional $1 per hour (to $15) after 30 days of successful employment.
