Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, such as sandwiches, salads, and soups - Assist customers in selecting and ordering deli products - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area - Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed - Operate deli equipment, such as slicers and grills, safely and efficiently - Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns - Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Qualifications: - Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is preferred - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations - Strong bussing skills to maintain a clean and presentable dining area - Basic culinary skills to prepare and assemble deli items - Ability to handle food products safely and follow proper food handling procedures - Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment - Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management - Strong sales skills to promote deli items and upsell products - Familiarity with the food industry and current trends Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
