Deburr Technician Requirements and Competencies

• An ideal team player mindset: people smarts, humility and drive.
• Minimum 2 years experience of deburring.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Attention to detail, attention to accuracy in work tasks, organizational skills.
• Understands having a sense of urgency, ability to manage time effectively and multi-task, meets deadlines.
• Ability to follow work instructions/procedures/processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketch sheets, and other technical documentation.
• Verbal and written communication skills.

The Benefits

This is a 2nd Shift position, which operates on a 4/10 work week and runs every Monday through Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. Additional overtime and Fridays may be required. We offer a 10% wage premium and paid meal breaks for 2nd Shift, which provides an additional 2 hours of pay each week!

Deburr Technician Duties

• Reviews work instructions to determine deburring processes, dimensional specifications, and other operating requirements.
• Uses various deburring tools (pencil grinder, Scotch-Brite abrasive wheels, deburring knives, etc.) to remove burrs from machined parts; performs edge breaks; polishes and hand-finishes parts; achieves surface finishes according to customer or production specifications; reworks parts to deburr, polish, clean product to meet required specifications.
• Inspects parts throughout deburring process using various methods of gages and inspection tools; completes Non-Conformance forms, when needed.
• Completes traveler paperwork and double-checks for accuracy; verifies part counts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
