Dean of Nursing

At Valencia College, we believe that anyone can learn anything under the right conditions and that learning is a lifelong learning process. The Valencia College Nursing Program, is seeking an innovative, collaborative, and transformative leader to join us as the Dean of Nursing. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership for the academic, fiscal, and operational areas of the Nursing program within Valencia College in close partnership with the Provost and Associate Provost. Responsible for ensuring all facets of the program plans are aligned with and fulfill the college’s strategic priorities and direction.

About Our Nursing Program

The Valencia College Nursing Program offers a two-year Associate in Science (A.S.N) degree program as well a four-year Nursing Bachelor of Science (B.S.N.). With approximately 800 students, both degrees offer opportunities for specialization. The nationally accredited programs at Valencia College are among the best for preparing students for nursing careers, by connecting students directly to situations nurses face today. These programs offer classroom curricula together with real-life clinical experiences to help nurses build skills and confidence.

The Dean of Nursing will lead a multi-campus team committed to ensuring the integrity of the academic program and processes that support the Valencia Learning Centered focus all aimed at accomplishing Valencia's Strategic Impact Plan. 

 Required Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited University with a major in Nursing. Five (5) years of progressive responsibility providing leadership within a clinical setting. Must have current, active, and unencumbered licensure in the State of Florida as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of the start date.

 Salary:   $105,436- $148,963 Per Year
