Our designers work closely with our sales team and clients to plan and specify contract furniture using CET and AutoCAD software. We work closely with our partners at MillerKnoll to bring cutting edge workplace strategy and design to commercial, institutional, healthcare and hospitality settings. Responsibilities for this role include programming and space planning, site verification, product specifications, drawings, product inventory, coordination with consultants, fabrics and finish palette selection, and assisting sales with presentations for clients. This is a highly technical role and requires a designer with a high level of attention to detail and a desire to work in a very fast-paced environment.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- 2-3 years’ experience drawing and specifying contract furnishings
- 2-3 years’ experience in the A&D and commercial interiors industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD required
- CET, CAP Designer, CAP Worksheet, SketchUp experience preferred
- BS or BA degree in Interior Design from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution preferred
- High level of attention to detail and technical proficiency
- Knowledge of building, accessibility, and life safety codes
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize and manage multiple responsibilities and high volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy
- Self-motivated, innovative and team focused
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident leading client presentations
