Job Description
This is an unpaid opportunity to attend Dealer School to obtain a new skill. There is no promise of a job. If a student passes the course, there will be an opportunity to apply for a dealer position.
Qualification:
Non ACH team members must complete a full employment and Gaming Application.
ACH team members must meet transfer request qualifications, complete a transfer request and complete a Gaming License Application if not currently licensed.
This training is unpaid, done on the participants own time and does not guarantee a dealer position at its conclusion. Graduating participants completing must do a formal audition and meet ACH hiring standards and still have maintained transfer request qualifications.
Must pass a basic math test to qualify.
Execution:
Training will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for 3 hours a day. Classes will be held from 9am to 12 noon and 2pm to 5pm.
Participants will be shown the basics of blackjack dealing to be practiced at home as a home work type assignment.
Participants will be issued 6 decks of cancelled cards, 20 non value chips, and a small piece of a layout.
10+ lessons (lasting approximately 4 weeks) will be taught from the game procedures and SOPs currently used for the Table Games. The course will end with a test to prove competency for each of the following:
Shuffle - Chip Handling - Card Delivery - Dealing the Game - Rack Maintenance and Usage - BJ War - BJ + 3 - UTH
Participants must be able to demonstrate progress in each lesson on a week to week basis. Those who fall behind the class pace by two lessons will be removed from this training and will have to reapply for a future training opportunity
