About the Deal Desk & BI Team

You will be part of the Deal Desk & Data Analytics team at Airship. All revenue and deals flow through this team. Our team is composed of data engineers and financial analysts working together to ultimately advise deal structure and terms. This team uses their analytical prowess, pricing, and packaging as well as product knowledge and creativity, to guide the company and the Sales teams to build better, simpler deals. Members of this team are key advisors to the CFO in setting overall financial and sales policies.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Deal Desk Analyst to join our growing team. Reporting to the Deal Desk Manager, this role will be a key business partner, reporting through Finance but supporting our global Sales team.

You will play a crucial role by managing the end-to-end deal process and supporting our sales teams with quotes, pricing, terms, and conditions, with an opportunity to work cross-functionally throughout our organization. This position requires a candidate with strong communication and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Location: This role will be required to come into the office a few days a month. Candidates must reside near Portland, Oregon, or surrounding areas within the state.

Responsibilities:

Deal Management:

  • Collaborate closely with sales, legal, and finance teams for efficient and accurate offer and order processing, ensuring compliance and adherence to policies.
  • Provision customer accounts with Airship platform access
  • Analyze and structure intricate deals, providing insights on pricing, terms, and contractual agreements.

Contract Review and Compliance:

  • Review and interpret contracts to ensure conformity with corporate policies, pricing, and standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer contracts, identifying and mitigating potential risks in collaboration with legal and finance teams.

Pricing Strategy and Billing:

  • Assist in crafting and implementing pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability, based on market dynamics and competitive analysis.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing billing subscriptions in the ERP system to ensure correct client invoicing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage in seamless collaboration with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to streamline deal approvals and ensure timely contract execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales and internal teams, addressing deal-related inquiries and resolving issues effectively.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Accurately set up and maintain customer master data in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of all deal-related information and generate reports to monitor key performance indicators and deal metrics.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field OR equivalent work experience in the SaaS industry
  • 3 years of Deal Desk, sales operations, or functional sales support experience, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with Finance, Legal, sales operations, and Sales
  • Confident self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment where the overall process is evolving with the business requirements
  • Team player mindset, taking satisfaction from sales representatives closing deals and teams achieving quota goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and G Suite apps
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and/or NetSuite

Compensation at Airship
Airship's compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including market data, experience ladders, and geographical location. The starting salary range for this position is $66,000 to $75,000 per year. Some roles may also be eligible for commission, bonus, competitive equity packages, and other performance incentives. In addition, we also provide an extensive suite of benefits as part of our Total Rewards approach to compensation.
