Position Title: Warehouse Associate/Wire Specialist
Full-time
Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00** p.m. Mon - Fri
** - Quitting time will vary each day depending on order volume. Opportunity for 2-3 hours overtime per week.
Summary:
Work closely with Lead to respond to and fulfill branch wire cut orders timely and accurately with minimal waste. Assist in recording and tracking order status daily to wire logs in Excel spreadsheet. Provide excellent service to our branch locations by providing friendly, appropriate and timely communication with branch personnel keeping them abreast of any order delays, issues, etc. regarding their orders, clarifying information to ensure accuracy as needed. May at times assist with other warehouse functions as needed to maintain the flow of product in and out of the distribution center such as: receiving; stocking; loading and unloading trucks. Can be a fast paced, hectic environment and the role requires positive and respectful interaction with internal customers, ability to multi-task and deal with interruptions and be able to stay on track. Perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely, and efficient manner. Follow all safety guidelines, use protective eyewear and gloves where required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cut wire for branch orders/deliveries. Create /receive deliveries for wire as needed and support branch requests for wire cuts as needed. Ensure proper inventory records are updated daily, maintained, and accurate.

- Post daily updates to wire logs in Microsoft Excel. Ensure records stay current.
- Ongoing communication with Branch personnel with status info, problems, delays.
- Other responsibilities may include tasks such as receiving, stocking, order-fulfillment, cycle counts, straightening shelves, sweeping floors.
- Maintain safe operations and clean work environment by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards. Keep clear aisles and walkways.
- Perform and record daily equipment inspections as required.
- Load and/or unload trucks as needed, giving consideration to order of delivery, fragile material, etc. Utilize safe lifting procedures and appropriate equipment as needed.
- Maintain a positive customer service attitude toward customers and co-workers by being friendly, cooperative and courteous.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as needed.
Abilities and Physical requirements:
- Basic Excel skills needed to be able to track/update wire data in Excel spreadsheet.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, carry, or reach. The employee is required to sit, climb, balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift from 10 to 25 lbs. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc. The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks. The employee is required to be able to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and/or wire-cutting machine. Must be able to be exposed to heights of 15 to 20 feet in the air.
