Strong communication skills with both dogs and their owners are essential for success in this role. There will be a probationary period of 2 months of on the job training where you will be trained to train dogs. No prior training experience is required.

```Day Care Duties:```

1. **Supervise Dog Playgroups:**

- Monitor and manage small group play sessions to ensure a safe and positive environment.

- Intervene in case of conflicts or inappropriate behavior among dogs.

- Separate dogs that are not compatible or need a break.

2. **Basic Care and Maintenance:**

- Feed dogs according to their dietary needs and schedules.

- Perform basic grooming tasks, such as washing, brushing, and nail trimming.

3. **Cleaning and Sanitization:**

- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in play areas, kennels, and other facilities.

- Regularly clean toys, bowls, and other equipment used by the dogs.

4. **Basic Training Sessions:**

- Conduct basic obedience training for dogs in the daycare.

- Reinforce positive behaviors through treats, praise, and other rewards.

- Address common behavioral issues like jumping, barking, or pulling on a leash.

5. **Customer Interaction:**

- Communicate effectively with dog owners, providing updates on their pets.

- Address any concerns or questions from owners regarding their dogs' behavior or well-being.

- Provide feedback on the progress of dogs undergoing training.

6. **Record Keeping:**

- Maintain accurate records of each dog's health, behavior, and any specific instructions from owners.

- Document notable incidents, such as injuries or changes in behavior.

7. **Enrichment Activities:**

- Plan and implement activities that stimulate mental and physical well-being for dogs.

- Use toys, puzzles, and other tools to engage dogs in constructive and enjoyable activities.

8. **Emergency Response:**

- Be prepared to handle emergency situations, including administering basic first aid if necessary.

- Follow established procedures for contacting owners or seeking veterinary assistance.

9. **Maintain a Positive Environment:**

- Foster a positive and friendly atmosphere for both dogs and owners.

- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team.

```Training Duties:```
- Provide dog training services to clients, including obedience training, behavior modification, and socialization.
- Teach basic commands, leash walking, and proper social etiquette to dogs.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
- Monitor dogs' progress and adjust training methods as necessary.
- Educate dog owners on effective training techniques and provide ongoing support.

-Stay informed about current trends and best practices in dog training and behavior.

- Attend workshops or training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

```Requirements:```
- Previous experience in a related field such as veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, or animal handling is preferred.
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide clear instructions.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of activity.
