Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the daycare
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and protocols
- Keep the daycare area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Skills:
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Nannying: Experience in caring for children in a home setting
- Infant care: Ability to provide specialized care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
- Preschool: Familiarity with preschool curriculum and activities
- Caregiving: Ability to provide emotional support and create a nurturing environment for children
- Daycare: Understanding of the unique needs and challenges of working in a daycare setting
- Childhood development: Knowledge of milestones and developmental stages in early childhood
- Behavior management: Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors using positive discipline techniques
- First aid: Certification in first aid training, including CPR and basic medical care
- Classroom management: Skills in creating a structured and engaging learning environment for children
