Daycare Director

Duties include:

• Staffing
• Hiring: Interviewing and hiring staff, providing training, ensuring all background checks and fingerprint records have been processed, scheduling, and observing staff with children.
• Training: Ensuring all staff are well versed in food service
• Recruiting:
• Supervising: Overseeing daycare staff, working with site coordinator, disciplinary action if needed, some of the above things that you listed could go here, etc.)
• Attract potential clients
• Create a marketing plan so potential families are aware of our center. This includes maintaining social media accounts, and buying appropriate advertisements through various mediums (radio, newspaper, etc.); give tours to prospective families and host open houses periodically.
• Manage daycare facilities
• Maintain a safe and well-stocked facility by ensuring that required safety equipment is available and in working order, no hazards are present, the facility is kept clean and orderly, and any supplies and equipment needed are ordered regularly. Ensure the space is up to code and ready for DHS inspections.
• Administrative Tasks
• Keep child and staff files in order and up to date; stay up to date with CACFP reporting.
• Delegate to ensure proper materials are available and ready to utilize.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
