Our client is seeking certified Substitute Teachers that have experience providing support to children in a classroom setting experience working close with behavioral, intellectual, and physical challenges is a plus but not required. The opportunity is in the Chicago, IL area.
CLIENT'S HOURLY RATE
Starting at $25 depending on experience, education, availability, and skills of independent contractor.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THE SPECIAL EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
* The substitute teacher will assist with providing a variety of activities for a balanced program of instruction, giving students opportunity to observe, question and investigate.
* The substitute teacher will reinforce information following a lesson.
* The substitute teacher will work with students individually or in small groups in academic studies, basic life skills and other assigned instruction.
* The substitute teacher will implement behavior modification plans and procedures designed for individual students when necessary.
* The substitute teacher will maintain positive relationships with all students, school staff, and parents.
* The substitute teacher will assist students during activities including lunch and getting children safely on and off bus.
CLIENT'S REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
* Minimum of a Bachelors Degree
* Professional Educators License or Substitute Teaching Certification
