Day Shift Production Team Leader

Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Job Summary:

We are hiring a Production Team Leader for our new factory in Pataskala Ohio.

This Production Team Leader supervises the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Other main responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. Monitoring production activity, identifying process problems, troubleshooting causes and developing solutions. Suggesting improvements to improve efficiency and safety. Delivering and coordinating staff training and on-boarding new team members. Ensuring all safety policies and processes are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily activities of a production area to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved; Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity;
• Monitor production activity, identify process problems, troubleshoot root causes and develop solutions;
• Suggest improvement plans to improve efficiencies and safety;
• Deliver and coordinate staff training and new hire orientation;
• Ensure all safety policies and processes are followed.
• Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required
• 2-3 years of experience in a production setting.
• Strong experience of productions safety and work-floor 6S standard required.
• Ability to work under pressure, coordination ability, interpersonal communication ability, planning and execution ability;
