Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Day Custodian Supervisor to join our team. As the Day Custodian Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the custodial staff, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. This position plays a crucial role in creating a safe and hygienic environment for both employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of Day Custodians, providing guidance and support.
• Schedule and organize daily tasks for custodial staff, ensuring efficient coverage.
• Monitor and enforce cleaning standards to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require attention or improvement.
• Train new custodial staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
• Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Manage and monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
• Place orders for supplies as needed and maintain accurate records of expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Collaborate with other departments to address specific cleaning needs or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with custodial staff and address any issues or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a custodial or janitorial role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional certifications in custodial services or related fields are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects.
• The Day Custodian Supervisor may be required to work flexible hours to ensure proper coverage.
