Database Architect

Job responsibilities :

• Ensuring the solutions are fit for purpose and use by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.

• Working across business and technology to create the solution intent and architectural vision and evolves it to an emerging backlog

• Consulting the business to clearly understand the business problems and technology to understand the technology challenges of the solution and finds creative solutions through practical experiments and POCs.

• Leading rapid shaping of a high-level architecture with details filled in with emerging business requirements and prepare the High level and Low level design documents.

• Design & migrate large volume databases to Public Cloud (Azure/AWS/OCI) from On-premise Data Center.

• Coordinate and oversee all technical activities relating to architectural and engineering projects, including directing the design team, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes.

• Communicate directly with managers, production staff, marketing personnel, and clients to discuss and organize projects from original conceptual design through construction.

• Oversee recruitment efforts to staff project teams with architectural and engineering personnel as needed and provide tossup-level management for all design and engineering teams.

• Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural design and engineering work as necessary to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

• Lead and mentor construction, design, and technical teams to achieve project objectives.

• Expertise in Oracle database administration, Database design, development in Oracle 12c,18c &19c,12c RAC, 18c RAC and 19c RAC databases, Dataguard, Golden Gate on Exadata Linux, UNIX, AIX, and Windows environment.

• Expertise in design and deploying scalable, highly available, high performance and fault tolerant Oracle RAC and MS SQL server AlwaysON on premise. And also No-SQL databases (Postgressql, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis) and also Kafka, Zookeeper on AWS environment.

• Developing and cultivating a community of Infrastructure and Database Administration experts, sharing ideas and best practices.

• Configure, administer and implement complex database infrastructures, multiple replication technologies, multi-directional flows and other high availability architectural topologies.

• Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features and automation of daily jobs and also see.

• Must have experience designing and architecture of Oracle Exadata solutions. In-Depth knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL databases technology which can include RAC/HADR and Data Guard.

• Develop and document architectural plans which include the database design/Cell storage and Exadata config/Network, must have experience with Oracle Golden gate replication.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 100,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
