Database Architect (Ts/Sci)

Geologics is seeking a talented Database Architectto work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners in support of a mission-critical, classified program. This a 6-month contract position with the potential for direct-hire conversion, dependent on qualifications and skillset.

Position:Database Architect

Type: W-2, Contract to Direct Hire (6+ month contract with potential extension or direct-hire conversion)

Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour

Location: Multiple worksite options available. This is a 100% onsite position and applicants must be local to one of the following cities listed:

• State College, PA
• Dulles, VA
• Aurora, CO
• Richardson, TX

DoD Clearance Requirement: In order to be considered for this position, an Active Top Secret-SCI is required. Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required. Job Responsibilities:

• Involved in all aspects of Database Architecture in a MongoDB environment as a member of a fast-paced agile team.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• In order to be considered for this position, an Active Top Secret-SCI is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Candidates without a Bachelor's degree will be considered if all other qualifications are met.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in database design and architecture in a MongoDB environment, to include:
• Mongo Query performance tuning
• Mongo pipelines
• Architecting large data solutions
• Database and system-level debugging experience including the ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications as necessary

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience with satellite communication systems and protocols (highly preferred)
• Software development experience in Java
• Experience working in a Linux environment
• Experience with AWS environment
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with OpenSearch
• Experience working in the Intelligence Community
• Experience with Relational Databases and other Nonrelational databases
