Job Description:
This senior position entails leading the development of database schemas, stored procedures and functions and advance scripts in MySQL Server, Snowflake and other database platforms for high-volume, mission critical use. The role will primarily focus on the technical design of the project using the technologies listed below, as well as the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. Proven ability to organize workload and priorities and complete tasks on time & to work effectively in a team environment. Acts as a resource for other software engineers; and a liaison between department manager and other analysts, as well as the business team.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Utilize MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Oracle, MySQL and other database technologies.
• Design normalized and denormalized database schemas for enterprise-level data warehouse and ETL processes.
• Build, test and analyze complex stored procedures, functions and scripts for use in data automation and data collection.
• Analyze performance and query efficiency in the related technologies to improve or design code which executes optimal queries and data operations against very large datasets.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production ETL processes across multiple datacenters around the world.
Additional Job Responsibilities
• Use Agile Scrum SDLC methodologies in the full life cycle software development process including requirements analysis, software design, prototyping, programming, debugging and testing of system software production applications.
• Participate in technical design and implementation.
• Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
• Collaborate with fellow developers in areas of expertise as well as members of business unit.
• Demonstrate self-directed and proactive approach to solving problems.
• Develop, debug and deliver enterprise applications.
• Demonstrate self-directed and proactive approach to solving problems.
• Proactively mentor fellow developers in areas of expertise.
Qualifications & Characteristics
• 10+ years of experience developing code and processes in MySQL Server or related technology is required.
• Experience in AWS cloud storage and Snowflake integrations is required.
• Knowledge of Javascript and/or Python is preferred.
• Knowledge of Salesforce SOQL is preferred.
• Ability to independently review existing code and leverage to build new processes and scripts is required.
• C#/.NET knowledge is beneficial.
• Outstanding troubleshooting skills.
• Experience writing multi-tier components for high volume systems.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Advanced degree or training in related technical field preferred
• Prior experience leading teams in a professional, open and forthcoming manor

Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York or Washington:
The Compensation range for this role is 77,605.20 - 155,209.20 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
