Position Title: Database Analyst Database analyst with extensive experience and expertise in AWS Aurora database Special Required:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology and/or equivalent industry experience.
- 10 years of database experience
- 9 years of experience with AWS Aurora database
- Experience working with large database projects
- 1-3 years of experience in working large scale projects
- Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts, virtualization
- Excellent verbal communication skills; Strong visual presentation skills
- Flexibility to communicate effectively with various levels of Mgmt.
- Ability to analyze critical information, assess upstream/downstream impact, and formulate broad recommendations
- Optimizing analytics performance by writing SQL queries on the data that resides in a relational database, including Amazon Aurora, Redshift, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake
- Serve as a SME to resolve issues and long running queries on PostgreSQL
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
- Create and update documentation to confirm architecture, user, design, and other documents describing the deployed system
- Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions
- Create SQL queries for Data Quality validations
- Writing complex SQL queries for reporting and ensuring data validity in target tables
- Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and/or calculate information
- Data and reporting requirements including identifying the needed tables and columns
- Capture details and required information to assign/resolve defects during Defect Management
- Use SQL querying tools like DBeaver, SQL Workbench etc.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization: Identify and resolve database performance issues, including query optimization, index tuning, and resource utilization. Monitor database performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize performance
- Database Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor database activity and performance using database monitoring tools. Diagnose and resolve database-related issues and incidents, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution.
