You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and developing PostgreSQL databases to ensure maximum performance, reliability, and security. Scope of work:
- Collaborate on architecture and modeling of database related development.
- Monitor performance of database for SLAs/degradation.
- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
- Logical and physical database design and database tuning.
- Manage and clean the database audit trail and archive logs.
- Ensure data integrity, backup, and disaster recovery processes are in place.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Stay current with PostgreSQL features, trends, and best practices.
What we’re looking for:
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience in software development/IT.
- Postgres DB installation and support (including upgrading) replication.
- Knowledge of AWS services.
- Experience with database monitoring and management tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, willing to go the extra mile.
- Self-starter with ability to work remotely.
BONUS:
- You’ve worked at a tech start-up.
- Postgres SQL Certified Engineer certification.
- MongoDB experience.
- Experience with VR or device-agnostic training.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $101,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year
