The Oxford Hills School District, located in the scenic western foothills of Maine, is seeking candidates for the position of Data Specialist / Trainer.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in the field of computer science (preferred).
- Experience with Spreadsheets (required).
- Excellent communication skills (required).
- SQL proficiency (Highly valued)
Knowledge of educational reporting practices (preferred).

JOB GOAL:
Manage institutional records and reporting for the School District
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Curation: Collate, validate, and maintain data from multiple data sources. Share data with stakeholders in usable format. May need to attend district data meetings, administrative team meetings, etc.
- Data Collection: Collect, verify, and submit data to satisfy Local, State and Federal reporting requirements.
- System Administration; of Student Information System and other district databases.
- Advanced Data Tasks: SQL query writing, data recovery, warehousing. Creation of views, procedures and tables.
- Custom Development: Create reports, exports, automations, visualizations, web-applications, and mailings.
- Process Improvement: Pro-actively absorb district data tasks; learn data workflows and find efficiencies.
- Software Support: Gain expertise in district software, provide local training, support, and documentation.
- Assessment Support: Synchronize student data with assessment vendors. Manage and support user accounts.
- Technical Competence: Mac, Windows, and Chromebook experience. Ability to produce training documentation that end users can understand.
