About Us:
Summary
The Data Specialist works with databases, spreadsheets, documents, and other information in support of Company’s operation. Work involves evaluating, processing, preparing, and reporting data and various elements to critical stakeholders, including but not limited to clients and management. In this job, your duties vary based on needs of the business, but typical work will include preparatory data work to successfully upload client data into company system; resolve issues with senders for data upload needs; analyze and report data in various ways to various stakeholders; and assist with organizing and communicating data related needs.
Essential Functions:
- Review incoming data files for accuracy
- Communicate any data issues with file senders and work with assigned personnel to resolve to conclusion
- Complete data related tickets as assigned
- Complete data setup items needed to process data files
- Complete data reconciliations with required parties as assigned
- Produce required reports of data from system to finance, risk and other business stakeholders
- Monthly
- Quarterly
- Ad-Hoc
- Record/stamp data elements, as assigned, in database
- Work with finance to complete any required data reconciliations
- Work with technology to resolve data issues/updates as needed
- Assist with onboarding of new clients with data files/API implementation with testing and results management
- Work with company client teams to resolve data related issues.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with focus on Excel
- Working knowledge of database structure
- Working knowledge of various file formats/types (.csv, .txt, .dbf, etc.)
- Excellent computer/data processing skills through certification and/or previous job training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to remain calm and stay on target under pressure and tight timelines.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years data processing management experience
Work Environment
It requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones/mobile devices, internet appliances and filing cabinets. High Speed internet access that supports voice over IP is required. The position requires considerable contact with service providers, customers, and clients via phone, email and internal system documentation. This position is hybrid remote in our Louisville, KY office, however may be required to be a full in person position if business requires such.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to sit or stand to utilize standard office equipment such as computers, phones/mobile devices, to talk, hear, and type various communications and system inputs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is full time, non-exempt position. Typical working days and hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. However, given the nature of the position and varying responsibilities, hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the business.

This position does not require travel.
