The Data Science Lead - Private Label position is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded and hands-on leader to drive Data Science transformation at JPMorgan Chase. The Private Label Data & Analytics team works to empower the Dealers and Consumers of our Automotive brand partners through Data Science & analytics. In this position you will play a critical role in leading the delivery of analytical solutions through collaboration with major OEMs including Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Subaru, as well as the Chase Auto Finance organization.

Job responsibilities
- Leading a team of data scientists to develop, plan and execute multiple of Data Science projects as both a team lead and, when necessary, individual contributor
- Creating analytical strategies to develop the data assets and workflows to drive operational excellence among our partners and within our team
- Communicating analytical findings to senior leaders through data visualization and storytelling
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners in our Private Label Automotive Finance business to identify opportunities for Data Science to create value
- Managing associate team members in their development into the next generation of Chase data scientists at JPMorgan Chase
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 5+ years' experience as a Data Scientist or in an adjacent quantitative role; 2+ years' experience in a direct leadership role
- Experience leading teams with a proven track record of driving value for the business
- Foundational knowledge of statistical analyses, Data Science and ML solutions such as descriptive and casual statistics, forecasting, NLP, and ML algorithms
- Knowledge of a range of analytics tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop) and data visualization solutions (e.g. Tableau, AWS Quicksight)
- Masters/PhD in a quantitative or related discipline preferred, but not required
- Experience in the Automotive, Financial Services, Technology or Management Consulting industry preferred, but not required
