Data Operations Specialist(TBD)

LOCATION: E L. Richardson Health Center, flexibility to travel to various health centers/events throughout the county when necessary
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT:Office of Epidemiology
SALARY INFORMATION: $45,000 Annually / Pay Grade J / Job Code ITP131

Under general supervision, designs, implements, and maintains complex databases. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, integration of systems through database design, and data analysis. Responsible for assisting various internal departments with their individual data collection/survey systems and databases and overseeing data quality and security. Perform data evaluations for various programs and provide corrective measures and recommendations for improving data quality. Perform routine data quality checks and create reports as needed to provide stakeholders updates on data collection and data analysis of the programs.
Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience
OR
Two years of experience at the lower level Database Analyst 1 (ITP130) or position equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to the minimum qualifications, preference will be given to applicants with experience working with multiple databases and data collection systems (such as REDCap or Microsoft Access). Preference will also be given to applicants with demonstrated work experience in quality improvement and performance measurement. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Data visualization skills a plus. Excellent communication skills.NOTE: Employment with the DeKalb County Board of Health is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements.
