Role Overview

As a Data Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with our data team to build data pipelines and contribute to data initiatives. This internship is designed for individuals with a keen interest in Data Engineering and science.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate on enhancing and optimizing existing data pipelines to improve efficiency and performance.

• Contribute to the development of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate seamless data flow and integration across systems.

• Work on data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of datasets.

• Create and maintain documentation for Data Engineering processes, including data models, ETL workflows, and data dictionaries.

• Work closely with other teams, such as analytics and business intelligence, to understand data requirements and ensure successful data delivery.

• Monitor and analyze the performance of data infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement and implementing optimizations.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies in the Data Engineering field and explore opportunities to incorporate innovative solutions into existing processes.

Skills and Qualities

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

• Strong technical background with analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Previous related experience in software engineering (applicable coursework, projects, internships, etc.).

• Working knowledge of programming and Git.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a dynamic Data Engineering environment.

Internship Details:

• Hours: ~25 hours per week (unpaid)

• Duration: Summer 2024
