Data Engineer, Global Media And Entertainment

• 1+ years of Data Engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with one or more query language (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala)

Amazon's Global Media and Entertainment (GME) organization encompasses Prime Video, Amazon Music, Twitch, Audible, and Amazon Games businesses. The GME Finance team is establishing a new tech team to build and operate systems that provide management and financial reporting for GME leadership. We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support our projects. As part of our team, you will help build a highly scalable, fully automated planning and reporting platform to support our finance teams. We have a multi-year roadmap with exciting projects that aim to deliver automated planning and reporting solutions, accelerate predictive forecasting, and creating interactive UIs for our analysts.
This role requires an individual with excellent data modeling, database architecture, and software development skills. A successful candidate will have the ability to work with technology, finance, product and business teams. This person will have the ability to Think Big about opportunities and challenges facing the business and the ability to influence the data strategy through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives.
Key job responsibilities

• Design, implement and support an analytical data infrastructure providing access to large datasets and computing power
• Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for reporting, dashboards, data analyses and model development
• Collaborate with other teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies
• Interface with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies
• Help continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers

• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
• Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, Datastage, etc.
• 2+ years of Data Engineering experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
